Rosemary Children Services to Host 49th Annual “An Evening with the Star Chefs” on June 23, 2012 (preview and tickets)

ROSEMARY CHILDREN’ SERVICES TO HOST 49TH ANNUAL “AN EVENING WITH STAR CHEFS”

AT PASADENA CITY HALL ON JUNE 23RDPASADENA, Calif. On Saturday, June 23rd, Rosemary Children’s Services will host its 49th Annual “An Evening with Star Chefs” event in front of the historic Pasadena City Hall. Holly Street from City Hall to Marengo Ave. and Garfield Ave. from Romona Street to East Union Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 8:00am until 11:59pm.

Founded by Julia Child in 1963, “An Evening with Star Chefs” is Pasadena’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious culinary benefit. Year after year, “Star Chefs” attracts over 700 prominent, concerned, and caring friends to enjoy an evening of fine wines, exotic beers, live entertainment, a top notch silent and live auction, and a one of a kind opportunity to sample exquisite cuisine prepared by the premiere chefs from some of the area’s most prestigious restaurants. Major sponsors of this year’s event are Wells Fargo, Rusnak/Arcadia, an authorized Mercedes -Benz dealership part of the Rusnak Auto Group, and Yelp!.

The 49th Annual “An Evening with Star Chefs” Event will celebrate a girl’s potential and star power, with an emphasis on female empowerment and collaboration. Lian Dolan, Writer/Broadcaster and Best Selling Author of Helen of Pasadena will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies; Barb Stuckey, Food Developer and Author of Taste What You’re Missing! will be providing a VIP Demonstration; Cristina Perez, Host of “Cristina’s Court” and Author of It’s All About the Woman Who Wears It, will be the Awards Presenter; and Elizabeth Rusnak Arizmendi, Vice President of Marketing for RUSNAK Auto Group will serve as the Honorary Chairwoman. Celebrity Chefs Danielle Keene, BRAVO TV’s Top Chef Just Desserts; Katie Chin, Food Network’s Iron Chef America Judge and Author of 300 Best Rice Cooker Recipes; and Alie and Georgia, Cooking Channel’s “Unique Sweets” Contributors, have all been confirmed for this year’s event.

The “Golden Star Award” is presented to exceptional individuals who have made great strides to support the mission, children and youth of Rosemary Children’s Services.

There will be a silent auction, live auction and an opportunity drawing to win a flight for two anywhere that Jet Blue flies and a stay in a Marriott Resort hotel. Guests will also have a chance to win the weekend use of a 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 and stay at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel.
