Clippers defeat Memphis Grizzlies in game 2 of 2013 playoffs as Chris Paul hits last second shot (4/13)

In the most exciting playoff game of this season, the Clippers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in game 2 with Chris Paul hitting a driving off-balance shot with 1/10th of a second to go in the game to give LA a 2-0 lead in the series winning 93-91.  Paul took over in the 4th quarter after a furious rally by Memphis, who were down by 12 points with less than 6 minutes to go in the game. Marc Gasol tied it up with a dunk after a great pass off the pick and roll from Mike Conley before Paul’s heroics.  Paul ended with 24 points and 9 assists while Blake Griffin had 21 points.  Jamal Crawford added 15 points with some spectacular shots with Matt Barnes and Eric Bledsoe both contributing for one of the best benches in the league.

The Clippers played a sound all around game but some bad shots and possessions in the 4th quarter helped Memphis come back.  Conley was by far the Grizzlie’s best player scoring 28 points and dishing out 9 assists while Tony Allen was a big spark scoring 16, Gasol 17 and Randolph 13.  This was a game that Memphis missed Rudy Gay, who was traded mid-season as part of a way to save money. Tayshaun Prince is the player they got in return but his productivity has been average.

Game 3 is back in Memphis on April 25th and pretty much a must game for the Grizzlies.
