Rockefeller Restaurant in Hermosa Beach is a must visit for tasty food, drinks- July 2014

Rockefeller restaurant in Hermosa Beach at 422 Pier Ave is a excellent place to dine, hang out, have drinks and people watch with its open air establishment right on Pier Ave. We loved the food and relaxed and fun servers/staff. Some of my favorites were the ahi tostadas (so tasty), bbq chicken crispy flatbread (their signature one and we can see why), grilled halibut tacos and heirloom tomato & avocado salad (I couldn’t stop eating it). So many other great food options to come back and try. They also have plentiful wine and beer varieties to pair with your meal. Do not miss the hot chocolate chip cookie to end your great experience!

The menu is very extensive with a great selection of appetizers (oysters, truffle mac and cheese to name a couple popular ones). Tacos as mentioned above including street short rib, braised chicken, seared ahi and our favorite- the local halibut. Salads– Besides the incredible heirloom tomato and avocado, try the baby kale, greek quinoa chicken or healthy steak salad. Main courses – their signature kalbi cheesesteak, burgers, chicken breast and lobster pot pie. Side dishes – sauteed green beans, curried sweet potatoes and three choices of fries.

Every night they have wine and beer pairings and ask for a sample as they are happy to let you try their beers. We loved it and glad to spread the word about this casual gem with great food and drinks.
