River Ranch Lodge-Restaurant in Alpine Meadows N. Lake Tahoe great place to stay, dine- March 2015

I recently came up to the N. Lake Tahoe area for a feature travel story. While the ski resorts did not have good seasons and little snow, I did enjoy some good meals and nice lodging. The River Ranch Hotel located at the base of Alpine Meadows was a great place to stay with its convenience and service. The room was very quaint and comfortable. Amenities included a TV with many channels, continental breakfast, free wifi and very helpful staff. The dining experience was very good which included some fried brussel sprouts and steamed clams to start.

For entrees, the elk was a great choice as they also had some seafood choices and other selections. Enjoy one of their cocktails or glasses of wine to accompany your meal as chef Jet is creative and wonderful in the kitchen. The GM Rob is as friendly and hospitable as they come so check out River Ranch for a great place to stay and dine on your next trip to the area.
