Addis Tandoor in Redondo Beach is the finest Indian Food in the South Bay- June 2015

Addis Tandoor in Redondo Beach was the best Indian Restaurant in the South Bay we have ever visited. Apart from the great food, Addi was the most hospitable owner and host you can have. The dishes were hot and delicious. Some of our favorites were the chicken tikka, yellow lentils, shrimp and chicken bayrami, eggplant, spinach with cheese, lamb vindaloo and tasty naan bread. There were no shortcomings of the portions and quality. They menu is extensive from appetizers to all the exotic breads, poultry, meats, vegetarian/vegan, soups, salads, rices, sides and more.

All the food is prepared with fresh spices and herbs with no animal fats, MSG or artificial flavors. It is the only Indian restaurant to score the highest in food excellence in the zagat guide in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2012.

We met Addi at a food festival and right away I knew I wanted to cover his place as the food was that good. It is no secret why the place was packed by mid-evening, which is a great sign of how the restaurant as Indian restaurants get overlooked quite often so making it in this city is big news.

There were even some celebs at the next table including ex-NBA player Tim Hardaway and actor Carl Weathers (best known for his role of Apollo Creed in many of the Rocky movies. Addi told us that they are frequent customers and Sandra Bullock was in the week before. The place is very humble located in a mini-mall but don’t let that fool you.

It is located at 800 Torrance Blvd #1 in Redondo Beach 90277 310-540-1616
