Casa Oaxaca is a family owned Restaurant is located on Venice Blvd just across the street from Culver City Main Street and the hotbed of great dining. This Mexican themed restaurant is very unique specializing in pre-Hispanic Oaxaca region specialties like Salmon in Black Mole sauce and Red Mole Sauce which we did with Chicken both we fantastically tender, tasty and some of best dishes we tried in any Mexican restaurant. We also enjoyed the Shrimp flamed with Mezcal in Mango Sauce.  Don’t miss La Tentacion, the restaurants signature sample plate featuring 8 unique appetizers . We also loved their vegetarian dishes like Tacos De Jamaica, Oaxacan style Taquitos with quesillo, chipotle house sauce and hibiscus flowers sautéed in Red Wine.

For fish dish try the Butter grilled Basa fish fillet or the garlic cooked Basa topped with Red Onions both served with rice and salad. They also prepare Basa in a hot sauce if you love the heat. Basa is a very flavorful tender fish and we enjoyed it very much.  For dessert we loved the homemade Flan as well as their famous Plantains flamed in Mezcal and orange juice.  They also have homemade ice cream and sorbet as well.  The restaurant is a great spot for a dinner party and they are open for lunch as well. This is truly one of best Mexican restaurants in all of Los Angeles.
