Loteria Grill at Fig @7th  offers great Mexican dining but it is not fast food.  It is more authentic and great for a date, family occasion or business get together.

An added benefit of dining here is the fact that you can order the breakfast items at any hour at this restaurant. Mr. Jimmy Shaw (owner and chef who started all of the Loteria Grills) brought us out with this amazing Chilaquile Verde to open up with,

The classic Mexican breakfast cure-all. Crisp Tortilla strips, sautéed in our homemade Salsas and served with Black Beans. Garnished with Queso Fresco, Crema Mexicana, and chopped Onion and Cilantro

This very educated proud Mexican man started out in Philadelphia doing catering to famous film crews and talent, starting with Rocky! Just as soon we devoured this tasty dish then we were delighted to get into the famous Tortilla Soup.

PURÉ DE TORTILLAPurée of Tortilla Soup. Strips of crisped Corn Tortilla, sliced Avocado, Queso Fresco, toasted Chile Ancho.

Mr. Shaw continued the feast with some vegetarian sandwiches which my friend who accompanied me who was from New Orleans barely gave me a chance to taste. That was Ok I had to give my friend a pass because a variety of the equally popular variety of tacos were fresh off the grill from the lovely female chef and coming our way. **Note to self don’t depart an eating with this Cajun  friend of mine for any reason. I guess he’ll get a pass this time.

Jimmy Shaw really spoiled us with an amazing assortment of his tacos. He explained that he wanted to highlight the vary different regions and tastes of Mexico. We were not disappointed at all as you can see.
