We started with small plates. The lamb lollie pop rocked our world. We Loved the salsa on the beer battered cod fish tacos, which were very fresh. The Alaskan crab cakes were super tasty, pan friend with a spicy aioli dressing. The shrimp tacos were plump and juicy sitting on corn tacos cilantro aioli and cabbage, the Brussel sprouts were beyond yummy, just order them, you won’t be dissapointed.

All these plates can be shared with your super fun posse.
For Entrees we had the butternut squash risotto which was flavorful and served in portions of three and the poached cod over couscous was light and subtly flavored. The menu is pretty simple since they get their their produce fresh daily. Other choices were a hamburger, meat dish, a few pasta dishes, jambalya and a chicken dish. Enhance your meal with one of their signature cocktails wines and beers or beers.

We ended with banana bread pudding and homemade cookie with icecream. I could seriously live on that bread pudding and eat nothing else for the day!

The “farm-to-table menu” features seasonal California fare with Continental flair served in small bites and large entrees. Chef Ranni tells us he bakes the Detour’s own signature bread every single day. It’s delicious! The two partners, Chef Ranni Kumgisky and Dane Pearson met on the AVP Professional Volleyball circuit.

Don’t miss their happy hour from 3-7 everyday and 3-11 on Mondays. That’s happy hour EVERY SINGLE DAY, hello! We had the pleasure of meeting the chef who shops the ingredients fresh daily at various farmers markets.
The prices are crazy reasonable, friendly atmosphere, hip and welcoming decor.  They are also open for lunch.
Their Sunday brunch has gotten quite popular, so, head on down and give it try. Plenty Of street parking, so what are you waiting for?
