Train, Hall & Oates perform a great concert together at the Forum on July 31st, 2018

Train and Hall & Oates – The Forum, July 31st, 2018 written by Jim Vatcher

Another fantastic night of music and fun at The Forum with Train and Hall & Oats.

Train opened the show with high energy and a party like atmosphere lead by lead singer Pat Monahan.  Lead man Monahan took selfies with the crowd during their song “Is it Love” and beach balls were flying everywhere during “Save me San Francisco”.  They played all their hits and two cover songs that were spot on renditions: “Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin and “Free Fallin'” by the late, great Tom Petty.

After a short break, the Hall of Fame legends Daryl Hall and John Oats hit the stage.  Fifty years later the duo still sound amazing.  They started with Maneater and didn’t let up from there with hits like, “I Can’t Go For That”,  “Sara Smile”, “She’s Gone”, “Kiss is on my List” and “Private Eyes”.  Pat Monahan joined them on stage for a song that they wrote together for this tour, “Philly forget me Not”.    They also played a great rendition of the Train song, “Calling All Angels”.  They closed the show with their monster hit, “Rich Girl” sending everyone home completely satisfied.
