Tahquitz Canyon Waterfall Hike in Palm Springs- September 2023
On a beautiful warm Palm Springs morning we hiked to the Tahquitz Canyon Waterfall located in Palm Springs, We explored this 2.0 mile loop trail, and is generally considered an easy hike. Tahquitz Canyon highlight is the spectacular seasonal 60-foot waterfall, complete with rock art, native wildlife and plants. At the waterfall it is very refreshing to jump in the water and cool off. We relaxed in the cool water and took beautiful pictures of the waterfall. Best to go early especially on a hot day
The Visitor Center is located at the entrance, and offers educational and cultural exhibitions.
Their website is updated regularly regarding open days and hours, it varies depending on the time of the year. There is an admission fee to enter as the hike is located on the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation. The hike is definitely worth a visit, especially on a hot desert day.
