LA Clippers win opening game vs Portland in the 2023-2024 Season

The LA Clippers started off the 2023/2020 for regular season off with a bang blowing out the visiting Portland trailblazers at the crypto.com Arena on opening night. They’re up by over 30 points a few times and the visitors looked over matched. Heard it was a team effort with a balance scoring attack with Paul George leading the way with 27 points, Kawhi Leonard with 23 and Zubac with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Russell Westbrook was full of energy and finished with 11 points and 13 assists with a team leading +30 points when he was on the floor. The team is very deep and coach. Tyronn Lue had the team ready and focused. Terrence Mann missed the game with an ankle injury as did Marcus Morris with a groin injury.

The Blazers were led by Malcom Brogdon (20 pts), Anfernee Simmons (18), Jerami Grant (13) & Shaedon Sharpe (14) but the number three pick in the draft Scoot Henderson looked a bit shellshocked and timid in his first game and ended with 11 points and their dual new centers of Deandre, Ayton and Robert Williams 111 were very disappointing.

Next up are the Utah Jazz on the road on Friday and back home Sunday for the San Antonio Spurs with the number one pick Victor Wembanyama coming in to town. The team has a great outlook for this year and hoping to avoid the injury bug especially later in the season and playoffs. More at www.nba.com/clippers.
