Eight 4 Nine in Palm Springs serves up the finest food in the desert- January 2024

What incredible dining experience we had at Eight 4 Nine in downtown Palm Springs. One of the owners, Willie, was most welcoming and we can see why the establishment is doing so well and so popular. The hostess Ruby was super friendly, greeting us and sitting us at a nice table in the dining room while our server Sebastian kept checking up on us. All the other staff as they were top notch and we were checked on often.

Start with the pear salad stuff with blue cheese with treviso & frieze lettuce and a delicious dressing they call sunshine and try their signature crab and corn soup with potatoes and applewood smoked bacon.

Other delicious starters are the ahi poke with avocado, kimchi, scallions and shrimp crackers as well as the Spanish octopus over Asian greens cooked perfectly tender with a farm fresh egg.

For entrees, the filet mignon was exquisite with a side of carrots, green beans, and potatoes but the dish not to miss is the Chilean Seabass cooked to perfection as it melted in your mouth. It was served with rice, carrots, and baby bok choy. Just outstanding. Your experience will not be complete without their popular carrot cake sandwich, dessert and enhance your meal with some wine or one of their signature cocktails.

The atmosphere is eclectic with a lot of lights and paintings with a beautiful decor. As you head to the bathroom, you can notice all the articles published about the establishment framed on the wall.   This is definitely a must visit on your next trip to Palm Springs as it’s one of the better meals we’ve ever had in the desert.
