LA Kings lose to Toronto as Ex King Goalie Jones shuts them out- January 2024

The LA Kings have had a very good season and came into the game versus the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs having lost two in a row. Ex King and Stanley Cup champion. Martin Jones, was stellar in goal for the Leafs as Toronto ended up shutting out the Kings 3 -0 and a tough matchup. The game was closer tthan the score indicated, but Toronto played very well on defense and William Nylander scored two goals, including an empty net to defeat LA, who is in third place in the division. The Kings had some good opportunities but couldn’t put the puck in the net. They looked decent for another deep playoff run but we’re early in the season and there are many things that can affect the outcome later in the year including injuries and how the team is playing at the end of the year. LA has been spectacular on the road and not as great at home. Up next are the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday back at crypto.com arena as they will try to avenge the loss and defeat the worst team in the Western Conference. More nhl.com/kings.
