California Wine Festival Returns to Dana Point – April 19-20, 2024

Just a wonderful weekend in Dana Point starting with the fabulous grand opening night event at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott with an array of food and wine vendors along with a silent auction.

California Wine Festival, Southern California’s premier wine festival event producer, will return to Dana Point for two days of oceanside tasting events on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20. Guests are invited to sip on fine wines and taste a variety of delicacies at the beautiful Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa and Sea Terrace Park.

Friday evening kicks off with a Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting, a special experience for wine connoisseurs. The evening of sampling hard-to-find reserve wines offers tasting room exclusives and limited-edition wines originating from vineyards based in California’s most esteemed wine producing regions. Set against the backdrop of a Dana Point sunset, guests will enjoy an intimate tasting while connecting with winemakers and owners.

As the evening progresses, guests will have the ability to partake in a silent auction, bidding on highly-sought items such as exotic wines, tasting tours and dining certificates. Proceeds from this auction will benefit Sandy Feet Initiative, an organization dedicated to recognizing and supporting siblings of children with special needs, through instructional and safe beach days.

The top-tier wine tasting experience continues with a Beachside Wine Festival taking place at Sea Terrace Park on Saturday, April 20. The al fresco afternoon event will allow guests to sample offerings from winemaking regions across California, paired with gourmet food selections from many of Orange County’s fine dining restaurants while experiencing lifestyle exhibitors, live entertainment amid California’s Mediterranean climate. Attendees will have access to hundreds of premium California wines and local craft brews. Attendees will sip on robust Cabernet Sauvignons, velvety Pinot Noirs, crisp Chardonnays, aromatic Viogniers and more. The VIP ticket provides early admission, access to reserve wines and gourmet eateries.

Select sponsors will be hosting fun activations which guests will be able to partake in during the Beachside Wine Festival. Wild Fork Foods, purveyor of a top variety of 450+ meat & seafood items, including premium Wagyu and game/exotic meats from the US and all over the world will be present at the festival.

Icelandic Glacial returns as “Official Water Sponsor” and Lloyd Cellars is the “Official Stage Sponsor.” Additional sponsors will include: Andy Gump, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Doheny Beach – Dana Point, System Pavers, Renewal by Andersen, Wild Fork Foods and Temecula Valley.

Popular restaurants from South Orange County and beyond will serve mouth-watering appetizers to accompany the festival’s best-in-class wine selections at the Beachside Wine Festival including: Arteseans Seafoods Inc., Baked by A.K., Brio Tuscany Grille, Butterfly Brittles, EPAA! A live band will provide the soundtrack for the day’s celebration.. Friday’s Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting will feature live entertainment from Chris Copeland, a smooth-voiced singer/songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama performing a diverse roster of Top 40 hits with an engaging energy and easy-going personality. Saturday’s Beachside Wine Festival will feature Upstream, SoCal’s premier live reggae, calypso, soca and steel drum band.
