Chris Botti World Renowned Trumpet Player performed at the Wiltern incl special guest Sting- April 11, 2024

What a fantastic show Chris Botti put on at the Wiltern theater on April 11.   With an ensemble of talented musicians on stage and trumpet in hand, Botti isn’t just a trumpet player with a band.  A Grammy award-winning jazz trumpeter and composer, Botti captivated the hearts of his audiences with his sophisticated style, rich melodies and elegant coolness.

Throughout the night, Botti introduced a lineup of stellar guests from violinist Caroline Campbell, vocal jazz artists Veronica Swift and Alicia Olatuja, and the remarkable sax tunes of Chad Lefkowitz-Brown.  For nearly three decades, Botti has been a standout collaborator with legendary greats including Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett , Paul Simon, Andrea Bocelli and Sting.

Speaking of Sting; the British singer, songwriter, composer made a guest appearance and graced the stage with a few of his classics, Moon Over Bourbon Street and Seven Days.  It was my first-time seeing Chris Botti.
