Reiters Supreme Hotel in Austria is a Dream with the best service, amenities and food- July 2026

If there were a “seven wonders of the world” list just for resorts, Reiters Supreme Hotel would deserve a place on it—without hesitation. This is, quite simply, one of the finest resort experiences imaginable and easily the best I’ve ever been to.

From the moment you arrive, you feel something different. The owners, Karl Reiter and Niki Reiter, set the tone with their genuine hospitality. They’re warm, approachable, and incredibly down-to-earth—creating an atmosphere that feels less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into a thoughtfully curated home.

That same spirit carries through the entire staff. Every team member goes above and beyond, with special recognition to Tanja at reception, Martina for her attentive guest care, and Judith in marketing. Their attention to detail and willingness to help elevate the experience from excellent to unforgettable.

The rooms are beautifully designed—spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. The beds alone deserve mention; you’ll sleep deeply and wake refreshed, ready to take full advantage of everything the resort offers.

And what an offering it is. Whether your goal is pure relaxation or active exploration, the options are endless. You can unwind in world-class sauna and steam facilities, or take a refreshing cold plunge in the resort’s natural pond. For those who prefer to stay active, there’s biking (including e-bikes), scenic hiking trails through the surrounding forests, a fully equipped gym, and expertly led classes. You’ll also find multiple indoor and outdoor pools that cater to every mood and season.

The spa experience deserves its own spotlight. The treatments are exceptional—I had a fantastic massage by Zoltan, who delivered a firm, deeply effective session using beautifully scented oils that left me completely relaxed and recharged. Beyond treatments, the guided steam bath sessions are something special. They prepare the space with menthol-infused creams or mineral salts, and as the steam builds, it opens your pores and allows the ingredients to penetrate deeply into the skin—both invigorating and restorative at the same time.

The sauna offerings are equally impressive, including experiences like the Affogato sauna ritual (spelled just like the Italian dessert), which combines heat, aroma, and technique in a way that feels both indulgent and revitalizing. There’s also red light therapy available, adding another layer of recovery and wellness—and the fact that all of this is included makes it even more remarkable.

Looking ahead, the resort continues to innovate. A brand-new paddle tennis court is being added alongside the existing clay tennis court, and “Niki’s Beach” is launching—a stylish sandy retreat designed to bring a relaxed, beach-like atmosphere to the countryside.

One of the most unique highlights is the estate itself. The property spans a vast natural area, home to horses and other animals. Visiting the stables is a must—you can even ride through the forest or take guided tours, adding a memorable, almost storybook-like dimension to your stay.

Dining is another standout. The resort embraces a true farm-to-table philosophy, and it shows in every bite. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, featuring fresh egg dishes, a variety of sides, potato specialties, cheeses, meats, and incredible homemade bread. Throughout the day, you can enjoy buffet options or order from a refined à la carte menu. Lunch at Niki’s Bistro is available at an additional cost (as is alcohol), but everything else is impressively inclusive given the level of quality.

Families will also find this to be an outstanding destination. While the Supreme is more adult-focused, the broader Reiters resort ecosystem includes excellent family-friendly amenities, making it a versatile choice whether you’re traveling as a couple, solo, or with children.

Location-wise, the resort sits about 1.5 hours from Vienna. Renting a car is the easiest option, but for groups (typically six or more), the hotel offers convenient shuttle transfers from the airport or train station for around €200.

A few additional highlights worth noting:

Over 125 acres of private grounds, offering unmatched privacy and nature immersion
A 27-hole golf course nearby for enthusiasts
Award-winning spa facilities consistently ranked among Austria’s best
Adults-only tranquility in the Supreme section for a peaceful, refined experience
Sustainability focus, with much of the food sourced directly from the resort’s own farm

In every sense—service, setting, wellness, dining, and atmosphere—Reiters Supreme sets a benchmark that’s incredibly hard to match. It’s not just a hotel stay; it’s an experience that redefines what a resort can be. I’ll definitely be back in the future.
