Los Angeles, CA– The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, returns to Los Angeles for its 16th edition, taking place September 24–27, 2026, at Barker Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90405. This edition of the fair showcases 160 independent artists, with 63% women-identifying and 46% Los Angeles-based exhibitors representing 14 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The growing roster continues to advance the fair’s mission of accessibility and connecting emerging and independent talent directly with collectors.

This fair features a striking cross-section of work. Isabel Araneda paints sun-drenched desert and mid-century architectural scenes, often rendered with still water reflections that give her compositions a dreamlike calm. Ella Freire reimagines vintage airline ephemera as bold, graphic prints steeped in nostalgia, drawing on official licenses from Pan Am Brands, TWA, and Braniff International, which have placed her work in the Pan Am Museum Gallery and earned her a shortlist spot for the 2026 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Laura Porcelli works in large-scale, vividly colored floral abstraction, while Kiara Aileen Machado creates large figurative paintings rendered in saturated color. Leticia Lorenzini layers multiple faces in fiber and acrylic across warm earth tones, and Xan Padron works in photography, turning everyday movement into pattern and finding rhythm and repetition in the way people pass through public space.
New to this edition, The Other Art Fair Los Angeles invites visitors to play three one-of-a-kind golf holes at The Other Open: Artist-Designed Mini Golf, part sculpture, part installation, and fully playable. Three female artists are designing unique courses: local artist Suze Riley, Isabel Arenda, and Heather Bellino all bring their creativity to this interactive installation.
WeHo Neon Diver, created by Suze Riley, is based on the iconic neon diver at West Hollywood Park; players drop the ball into the diver’s feet, roll it through the body onto a swimming-pool pitch, and dodge beach-ball obstacles to reach the hole. Reflections of Palm Springs transforms artist Isabel Araneda’s ongoing series of Palm Springs pool paintings into a playable landscape, inviting visitors into the mid-century modern architecture and mirrored pools of the Coachella Valley. The Blooming Vortex, created by Heather Bellino, draws on flowing organic forms and a sculptural flower centerpiece to create a vortex-like funnel of play.
Alongside the artist-designed mini-golf will be a site-specific installation by Adam Rose and Richard Hoffman, TP Catalog — On Loan from The British Museum, a fully hand-painted restroom installation featuring a row of gold-framed toilet-paper transfers, each depicting an artifact that may itself have been acquired by The British Museum. The images are paired with text drawn from the objects’ own museum database entries, and a continuous video documenting the British Museum heist plays on loop, visible through viewing holes cut into the stall walls. Adam Rose, a theatrical lighting designer by training, has worked as a lighting programmer and designer for Off-Broadway shows and as lighting designer for immersive installations including Glenn Kaino’s A Forest for the Trees. Richard Hoffman, trained at Central Saint Martins, is known for his Subversive Post Office concept, which repurposes genuine postage stamps into provocative works.
This Fair is pleased to introduce the Los Angeles-based recipient of its Fall 2026 New Futures award: Lisa Tse, a contemporary artist based in Los Angeles. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she continued her artistic education through the Mastery Program at Milan Art Institute. Before transitioning to fine art, Lisa spent more than a decade as a graphic designer, creating artwork for brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Paul Frank, and Roxy. She will be exhibiting her works in oil and mixed media. Lisa creates feminine, playful paintings in vibrant color palettes that celebrate strength, connection, and joy.
Formalized in 2021 as part of The Other Art Fair’s ongoing mission to break down traditional barriers in the contemporary art world, New Futures is designed to launch the careers of talented emerging artists by awarding local artists mentoring and free on-site exhibition space at the Fair.
Other fair activities round out the experience, from the playful to the immersive. Visitors can leave a written fortune in artist Gina Su’s oversized ceramic fortune cookie, Leave a Fortune, Take a Fortune, and take one left behind by a stranger, or on Thursday check out live typewritten poetry by The Haikuists, where a brief conversation becomes a complimentary three-line poem in under a minute. For a quieter moment, The Fair Lounge, curated by Colette Dazé Semmel, reimagines the gallery experience as a furnished living room, pairing exhibiting artists’ work with curated furnishings to show art as it’s meant to be experienced, not on a pedestal, but at home, with copies of The Funday Press, an independent newspaper built entirely around Sunday-paper games like crosswords and word searches.
Guests can grab a drink at the Fair Bar (Thursday to Sunday), offering cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Four food trucks will be available on site: Thai Mex Cocina (Thursday to Sunday), Cali Craving (Thursday to Sunday), serving smash burgers and fries with vegetarian options; LA LA Lasagna (Thursday to Saturday), with vegan and vegetarian options available; and Yalla Truck (Sunday only), serving traditional Palestinian-style falafel. For coffee, mu.sō Espresso Bar on Wheels (Saturday and Sunday) offers coffee and matcha from a custom-built setup in a vintage BMW E30.
