Honda presents the 28th Annual For Our Children Food and Wine Festival on Sunday, April 28, 2013 on the grounds of the Torrance headquarters of American Honda. Proceeds will benefit TrinityKids Care, a program of Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation and Sandpipers philanthropic programs.

Guests will experience gourmet foods and fine wines from over 90 restaurants and wineries.  The spectacular silent and live auctions feature unique gift items, sports tickets and memorabilia, dining, entertainment and exciting travel packages to Hawaii, Canada and Napa Valley.    Opportunity tickets for a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid EX with Navigation, generously donated by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. are available for $25 each or 5 for $100. 

For Our Children has raised nearly $2 million for South Bay children over the past 28 years.   Event co-chairs Sharon Martinez and Jim Sala truly appreciate the commitment of sponsors and friends.    “We are so grateful to Honda for continuing to host this event on their campus each year, and for the additional donation of the fabulous Honda car for our opportunity prize,” said Ms. Martinez.  “Because of Honda’s generosity and the generosity of so many others, For Our Children has become a signature event in the South Bay,” added Mr. Sala.  Additional sponsors include Classic Tents and TravelStore.

TrinityKids Care is the only dedicated pediatric hospice program for infants and children in Southern California.  TrinityKids Care provides end of life care to children with life-threatening illnesses. 

Sandpipers philanthropic programs provide critical scholarship funding for qualifying students for four continuous years of undergraduate study, as well as community outreach programs that supply ongoing emergency financial and in-kind assistance to children, adults and families at risk within the South Bay community.

 Sunday by the Sea has become an annual tradition and benefits the programs of Providence TrinityCare Hospice, one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit hospices in Southern California, providing comfort and care to adults and children with life-limiting illnesses. These programs include TrinityKids Care, the only dedicated pediatric program for infants and children in the region, Necessities of Life, Patient Care Assistance, Palliative Care Institute, and The Gathering Place bereavement support service.
