Los Angeles Dining

Teleferic Barcelona is the most authentic Spanish restaurant in LA that we have visited- Feb 2026

From the moment we stepped into Telefèric Barcelona — for the second time — it was clear that this beloved Spanish gem in Brentwood delivers an experience that’s as memorable and delicious as our first visit, if not better.

We kicked off our meal with the classic gambas appetizer: large, perfectly cooked shrimp bathed in fragrant butter and garlic, each bite a rich, juicy delight. It came paired with the restaurant’s excellent bread — the perfect vehicle for soaking up every last drop of that flavorful sauce. To balance things out, we added the broccolini, tender yet crisp, adding a welcome touch of healthy greens to the meal.

Next came one of the highlights of the night: the super tasty burrata salad. Creamy burrata nestled among ripe strawberries and juicy tomatoes, with vibrant basil pesto and crunchy pistachios — a refreshing and elegant starter that just sings with flavor.

But the true star of the evening was the black squid ink paella, studded with succulent shrimp, clams, and scallops. This paella was divine — rich and briny with just the right al dente texture, its dramatic dark rice a feast for both the eyes and the palate. It’s easily one of the best paella experiences we’ve had, and a must-order here.

To complement the feast, we savored one of their signature cocktails — whether it was the silky smooth Liquid Silk, a crisp martini, or a bold scotch whiskey creation — the bar program is imaginative and elevated. With every sip, it was clear that Telefèric takes its mixology as seriously as its cuisine.

For dessert, don’t skip one of their sweet endings — we loved the orange mochi, a light and refreshing finale that was the perfect cap to an extraordinary dinner.

Service was impeccable. Our server Gabriel was warm, accommodating, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. The entire staff — including manager Lauren — were exceptionally hospitable and genuinely friendly, making the evening feel relaxed and special.

The atmosphere is amazing — stylish yet comfortable, buzzing with energy and very popular (so reservations are a good idea). Whether for a casual dinner or a celebration, it effortlessly balances upbeat vibes with a sophisticated dining experience.

If you’re craving authentic Spanish cuisine, inventive cocktails, and exceptional hospitality in Los Angeles, Telefèric Barcelona in Brentwood is a standout destination that keeps you coming back for more.  This place is not to miss if you want the most authentic Spanish food without having to go to Spain.
