Coldplay with Fiona Apple as opening act at the LA Forum and continued Tour (2/06)

One of the hottest bands on tour right now made a stop at the Forum in Los Angeles the other night to showcase the emerging talent and wide popularity. I am referring to the English band “Coldplay” is becoming world known for its display of emotional lyrics and songs and is even being compared to U2 in stature if things persist. Opening act Fiona Apple from New York is on the comeback trail and starting to gain a bigger fan base all around. Both are rebounding from a tough year last year.

Lead singer Chris Martin of Coldplay exemplified raw emotion and energy for the packed crowd. The sound at the Forum was not the best as this venue is difficult to produce the best quality for concerts. The lighting was spectacular and the entertainment was there! They are on their 3^rd album after “A Rush of Blood to the Head” reached record sales. The band’s #1 hit is “Yellow” which triggered the launch to stardom for these guys from Britain. Apple’s newest album “Extraordinary Machine” was a top seller and finished high in The Village Voice critics’ poll last year.
