WHAT:     Behind the Velvet Rope is returning for a second run! The interactive burlesque sexy comedy played to sold out houses in its initial run and has been brought back due to popular demand, advance ticket sales and creating a stir in Europe.

 

                  Critics raved “rarely does a show in this town have, even a few of the many qualities that surround this prodution”. The returning show has new original music and lyrics written by one of Europe’s leading songwriters and poets, and award-winning European songwriters. It includes breathtaking new aerial acts  from Cher’s “Living Proof: Farewell tour, along with novel sexy dance numbers and creative strip tease routines choreographed by Cher, Madonna and Pink’s choreographers.

 

WHO:       A strong cast of Broadway actors, combined with the talents of singers, aerialists / trapeze artists, dancers and comedy. Behind the Velvet Rope is a burlesque comedy show created by Nathalie Yves Gaulthier (writer/director: critically-acclaimed musicals/circus-related productions all across Canada/ Youth specialist/coach “Spanglish”, “Daddy Day Care” ,“Dark Water” to name a few) , from Gaulthier Artists (www.gaulthierartists.com).

It combines theater, dance, singing, aerials, stripping and comedy all mixed in with audience-participation in this fast paced R rated evening.

In this second run, there are a few new characters to look out for, keep your eyes peeled for the mad assistant stage manager balancing a sword on her head, or the sexy leather clad Aerial hoop aerialist! And who is that old lady trying to steal the limelight as the curtain goes up………?
