Theater/Dance

New Cabaret Show called “Blackout” thursday nights in Beverly Hills- (10/06)

An incredible sultry, sexy dance/theater show comes to Beverly Hills every Thursday night at Aqua (424 N. Beverly Drive) 310-734-8973

The show is comprised of a diverse blend of attractive females impressing the crowd with provocative dance moves,

acrobatics and sensual gestures that have you on the edge of your seat. If you want to see some great entertainment and

a cleaner act than a strip bar with great music, Aqua is the place to visit on Thursday nights. The showtime says 10:15pm

even though it really didn’t start till 11pm. I hope in the near future they are more punctual with their timing as

that is about my only complaint. The dancers need to come out for a Final Encore after their last dance so the crowd

can give them recognition instead of just disappearing while the lights go on and the DJ puts on some music. After all,

it is well deserved and the girls plant themselves all over the audience from the main stage to back stages and poles

so everyone in the room gets to see up close and personal. I highly recommend this show but it is not for the easily

embarrassed or offended person. Have an open mind and you will love it. Here are the songs the girls danced to for

each set:

EXPERIENCE BLACKOUT
CABARET EXTRAVAGANZA COMING TO AQUA LOUNGE

PREMIERE SHOW SET FOR OCTOBER 19, 2006

Beverly Hills, Calif. September 26, 2006 – The ultra hip aqua lounge in Beverly Hills is proud to present the hottest new show in town BLACKOUT igniting October 19, 2006.  Bliss awaits you down the sleek stairwell of aqua lounge. Temptation, girls, dancing, hot, sexy and exciting is just a few words to describe BLACKOUT.  BLACKOUT is truly what is new and sexy in nightlife.

Created, directed and produced by Ryan Morgan. Couture sophistication and unapologetic sexuality fuel this edgy, underground burlesque show. The sleek, sexiness of a Bond film meets the unbounded, raw energy of “Flashdance.”  Step into acrobatic film noir where the lips are redder, the legs are longer, and a secret is revealed behind every corner.  Feminine sensuality disguises this highly technical and sexually acrobatic performance featuring twelve of Los Angeles’ most desirable dancers.  Through a mix of modern beats and remixed classics, dancers appear and disappear in flashes of light, setting the stage of temptation for fourteen numbers performed in two acts.

Famed choreographers Tracy Phillips and Dominic Carbone lend the same masterful talents to BLACKOUT as they have to artists Marilyn Manson, No Doubt and Wolfmother.  Costumes designed by none other than Grey Ant, Paula Bradley and Sir Heffington-Hollywood fashionistas whose designs have adorned bad girls Shirley Manson, Gwen Stephani, Juliette Lewis and the Pussycat Dolls.

The ambience of aqua being an under the sea themed restaurant & lounge serves up world cuisine with an Asian flair “tapas style” adds to the sexiness in food for this show.  Small plates with big flavors from crab cakes with an avocado relish to short ribs topped with morel sauce is enjoyed in the sensual coral dining room or VIP golden lounge.  The subterranean space basks in a sea of exotic fish tanks, waterfalls and plasma screens.   LA Times, LA Confidential, LA Magazine, Distinctive Living Magazine and Angeleno Magazine to name a few, all rave about aqua restaurant & lounge.

Tickets $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Shows every Thursday night following the premiere.
aqua lounge Located at 424 N. Beverly Dr. Beverly Hills, CA 90210. 310.734.8973. www.blackouttheshow.com. Table reservation and bottle service available.

Black roses bloom in this decadent, breathy revisitation of the burlesque.

Where will you be when the light’s go out?
