Votre Beaute European Day Spa for men and women is located in the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel at One Harbour Square right on the Lake Ontario water front. The spa has lake views from all the treatment rooms giving it a bright, fresh feel. So many hotel spas are located underground. Votre is lucky to have a great location in the Westin so that it feels very much like a resort spa. It has bright white walls, lots of sunlight from the lake, high ceilings that make it feel really spacious. In the waiting area there is a lovely floor to ceiling waterfall to relax you while you wait for your treatment.
My treatment was called the Lime & Fine White Sand Body Glow. Rouite, my therapist scrubbed me down with a vigorous a salt, sand, shea butter and lime scrub. This part of the treatment was quite invigorating. I could feel my skin come to life while being exfoliated. Next she placed hot towels on me, wrapped me in a plastic wrap, put a cold eye pack infused with vanilla scents and then left me to detoxify. After 10 minutes or so I was unwrapped and got to see the toxins that had left my body via my pores. Fortunately, I wasn’t too toxic! Then, I was guided into a beautiful tile shower complete with four showerheads and a waterfall to sit under. After rinsing off and relaxing in the jets I was put back on the table for moisturizing. This treatment was both relaxing and invigorating! My body was left supple, soft and glowing.
Todd had a combination of the hot herbal pack massage and a hot stone massage. The healing Italian herbs are warmed up in packs and then rubbed over your muscles to relieve soreness. To go a bit deeper, Todd’s therapist, Maria used hot stones during the massage as well. One nice aspect of Votre Spa is that the stones are kept warm throughout the day in an oven so that they are warm throughout the treatment. The treatments are catered to the client’s request.
