Skiing, Boarding and Tubing at Mount Baldy in Southern California (2/13)
On our trip to Mt baldy, after a short 25min drive from the 210 fwy, we had the pleasure of going all the way to the top of the mountain! Mt. Baldy is the closest ski resort from the center of Los Angeles which makes it very convenient to ski the day and drive back home if you live in LA.
Their ski lifts ride was just the beginning of the fun. There was no snow at the bottom, but surprise surprise , there was plenty at the top. On this occasion, we had the chance to try their tubing park after some fun runs. There is a variety of terrain for most types of skiers and boarders and the staff was very professional and helpful. Located at almost 8000ft above sea level, the length of the park is about 150 to 200 yards long and it is great for small children. Tubing Operates for three 2hr sessions.Near by, there is The Top of the Notch restaurant with a great view, Ski & Snowboard lessons and rentals.
Besides Ski, Snowboarding and Tubing, they have great Hiking trails, which over the last decade has gained much popularity.
Also, mostly on the off ski season, you can find great mountain biking trails, something we will need to come back to try out soon!
