The highly anticipated show announces a beautiful new venue location as well as a celebrated host committee and premier corporate and media sponsors.

 

LOS ANGELES – The 27th Annual Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale – to be held for the first time at the new 3Labs Studio in the Hayden Tract Arts District of Culver City — will return April 25th with a star-studded Opening Night Party to benefit P.S. ARTS, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving children’s lives through arts education.

 

Honorary event chairs include famed interior designer and star of Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators Jeffrey Alan Marks and debuting presenter Lisa Bowles from ROARK modern in New York. The host committee for the preview party includes P.S. ARTS supporters Maria and Bill Bell, Rachel Bilson, Julie Bowen, Elizabeth Stewart and Rob Bragin, Kimberly and Albert Brooks, Courteney Cox, Patrick Herning, George Kotsiopoulos, Carolyn Powers, Mat Sanders, Naomi and Adam Scott, Julia Sorkin, and Lisa Kudrow and Michel Stern. P.S. ARTS provides arts education for thousands of Los Angeles public school students in lower-income neighborhoods. Preview party sponsors include Jaguar Land Rover, One Kings Lane, and Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley.

 

Featuring more than forty national and international exhibitors presenting decorative and fine arts from all design movements of the 20th century, the Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale will offer a broad range of exceptional products for collectors and home designers including furniture, lighting, sculpture, paintings, jewelry, silver, glass, ceramics, photography, textiles, prints, rugs, posters, vintage clothing and accessories. Of the more than 40 presenters, Santa Fe, NM-based galleries Steven Maras and Modern 2.0 will be in attendance along with Southern CA-based galleries a La MOD, Atomic Bazaar, Christopher Anthony Ltd., Off the Wall, Reform, and Berkeley-based Vintage European Posters. Debuting presenters include Alexandre Huygelvede of Paris, France, Gallery 925 of San Francisco, and Los Angeles-based gallery Loft Thirteen.

 

The show begins with the Opening Night Party and early buying opportunity from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 25th.  Opening night tickets range from $175 to $500 depending on entrance time and are available in advance at http://psarts.org/modernism2014/ or at the door. The show continues through the weekend – open to the public – for admission of $15 per person at the door and includes a show catalog.  Show hours are Saturday, April 26th, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 27th, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The event will be held for the first time at 3Labs Studio, 8461 Warner Drive, Culver City, CA 90232.
