Mikado at the Palm Desert JW Marriott is a great dining experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and fun interaction with the chef made this a fantastic family dining experience. Start with one of their signature cocktails and some tasty appetizers such as the soft shell crab, edamame or sushi.
For main courses, the entrees come with soup or salad, veggies cooked right in front of you and rice. The options are beef, chicken or seafood and they have kid’s meals. The chef makes your food to order and how you want it cooked while he adds soy sauce, sesame seeds, butter and salt.
Take the boat ride from the lobby which provides a little tour and fun way to get to the restaurant. Allow at least 20 minutes before in case there is a wait and the 10 min ride.

The staff and service were very hospitable and the chef was the star making jokes and having fun while he was cooking. He made a mini volcano with fire and also tossed shrimp in guests mouths.
