City Express Suites – This is a great affordable place to stay with the convenience of being walking distance to El Médano public beach and approx a 7 min drive from the popular marina. The hotel offers a shuttle drop off but you need to find your way back via taxi or Uber for max $10. It may not be a high end resort but between the location, amenities and friendly staff, you will feel right at home. Other amenities are the fitness center, pool table, snack bar open late and big lobby area/outside area where the pool is located to relax.
They serve a free continental breakfast everyday which includes fruit, yogurt, pastries and cereals. The swimming pool is beautiful and kept very warm in the mid 80’s. The rooms are clean and spacious. Daily maid service, 2 TVs and a kitchen area to prepare and store food adds great value.
Oscar, the front desk manager and Iki, the sales manager were hospitable and very helpful. We highly recommend your stay here as the accommodations were fantastic.

Our top 3 choices are below with Vibrant, Alexander’s and Mi Casa. You cannot go wrong. The first 2 are family owned by the same family.
Vibrant was just amazing.
This place overlooks the beautiful Marina in Cabo and is super unique. The manager Natalie has a Swiss-French chef background and has trained the staff that style of cusine. They prepare and serve many dishes tableside including Caesar Salad, Steak, Shrimp on the portable stove-top so you get an incredible experience with a delicious meal. Start with the tuna tarare and guacamole with chips.
For entrees, we suggest one of their great combos as we split the filet and shrimp platter with rice and veggies. You will leave full and satisfied. Enjoy one of their signature cocktails or glasses of wine to pair with your exquisite meal.

Alexander’s-
Owned by “Alex, the father of Natalie (also the owner of Vibrant), Alexander’s has been a staple at the Marina for about 20 yrs. They were hit hard by the pandemic but coming back strong now. Located a few doors down from Vibrant, the theme is similar with tableside dishes but the menu some similar and other options.
Some dishes we loved were the yellowtail sashimi, caesar salad prepared at our table, beef stroganoff and the seafood combo of lobster & fresh local fish with rice & veggies.

Mi Casa-
We loved Mi Casa, located in downtown Cabo as you feel like you are in someone’s home and courtyard. The staff and service are prompt and helpful. There is a tortilla area with a gal making fresh tortillas. Start off with their signature tortilla soup. Try one of their popular Mexican dishes such as the chicken enchiladas or chicken mole. The seafood platter consisting of shrimp & sea bass was massive and tasty with a side or rice and beans. Enhance your meal with a glass of sangria, marguerita on the rocks or blended. They also have a live entertainment with a magician/greeter or two to perform and interact with customers which makes your visit extra fun.
Mi Casa is an Authentic Mexican Restaurant that has become a landmark in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. For more than 20 years we’ve been a focal point of traditional Mexican cuisine. Tamarindos
This farm to table establishment is well worth the visit. Located in the outskirts not far from San Jose and in between the airport and Cabo San Lucas, you will have a great experience. They have the restaurant, which serves up fresh food mostly from their farm and gardens. We highly suggest their cooking class where you choose menu items and help with the preparation and cooking them. What a fun afternoon with a tour of their farm. Grab some mangos for the road as they are delicious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Take your time and relax while you enjoy your day and fabulous meal accompanied by one of their signature cocktails or wine.
Tamarindos is a culinary destination in a rural environment only 5 minutes from San José del Cabo downtown. the drive through the dry river and dirt roads makes part of the experience of this extraordinary venue. Originally from Sonora, Mexico, Head Chef Enrique Silva arrived in Los Cabos in 1990 armed with a degree in agricultural engineering and a love for Mexican cuisine learned in his mother’s kitchen as she prepared daily meals for his large family.

G-Force- Combine the ultimate thrilling ATV ride with an awesome horseback riding adventure on the beach. You can do just one of them but my top suggestion is to do the combo so you get the best of both worlds. The views and setting are remarkable. What a fantastic day and owner Sergio and his staff were top notch. Loved the tour and highly recommend it. Cabo San Lucas is right at the tip of Baja California Sur. It is a resort city that also has plenty of adventure in store for people that love the great outdoors. There are plenty of activities to do in Los Cabos, Mexico. Cabo Expeditions– They provide great tours including kayaking, parasailing, whale watching & snorkeling. We were going to go kayaking and snorkeling at the local beach spot near the arch at Pelican’s beach but already made it out there earlier in our trip. So we changed to the beach hopper tour and we are so glad we changed. A nice boat ride about 30 minutes out to 2 new spectacular spots. Board our Zodiac boat for a snorkeling adventure in two different bays, passing beautiful beaches along the way. Afterward, enjoy breathtaking views of famous landmarks. Cap off your tour with a light lunch on the beach.
