Arth Bar & Kitchen- Newly Opened Eclectic Indian Restaurant Experience- August 2021

Arth Bar & Kitchen, located in the heart of Downtown Culver City, boasts some of the most unique and flavorful East Indian Style Cuisine in Los Angeles. Newly opened in July 2021, it was renovated from a past restaurant that went out of business. The setting is very clean, classy, and comfortable. The tables are well spaced out with both abundant indoor seating and outdoor seating on 2 separate sides of the restaurant.

Although we chose to sit inside during this visit, Downtown Culver City has recently expanded all their outdoor seating and highly appreciated the various options we were given.

The staff is warm and welcoming as is the lighting and the uniquely beautiful decor on the walls. The head chef, Sagar Ghosh, was available to answer any and all questions about the several menu items we were not familiar with. His style of cooking and preparation is world-class with meats and fish perfectly cooked, seared, and fried.

The starters as well as the main dishes were all served at the correct temperatures. The spiciness and tastiness combinations of the hard-to-find delicacies were mouth-watering and well-satisfying.

For starters we recommend trying the rum infused drunken chicken wings & chicken tikka tacos From the Tandoori oven, we recommend the Tandoori Seabass as well as the tasty jhinga tiger prawns (pictured above) The main courses had so many great choices but how can you pass on the lobster in coconut milk, turmeric and curry leaves and the lamb biriyani, which were both fantastic.

Side dishes of the black bean dal lentils is a must and the whole wheat paratha (first picture below) was a nice change from the staple naan but you cannot go wrong. The bartender expertly mixed a few different very exotic beverages for us from the drink menu, which also offered specialties we have not seen before.

We were pleasantly greeted and well-attended to by all staff from entry to exit and were impressed by the overall service, presentation, and how personable everyone was. If you are looking for a unique yet high end Indian experience with fusion dishes, this is your place. One of the top Indian restaurants we have ever experienced. The cannolis (yes you heard that right at this place and the Indian chambord liquor with mango ice cream (pictured above) were nice ways to finish off the meal for dessert.
