LA Galaxy ties Seattle in a back & forth exciting game as playoffs approach- August 2022

The LA Galaxy took on the Seattle Sounders at the Dignity Health sports park in Carson, Ca as a season winds down. Both teams are vying to make the playoffs with the galaxy slightly ahead versus the longtime nemesis.  LA took an early lead with Javier Hernandez “Chicharito” scoring to make it 1-0. Victor Vazquez took a long shot from the right wing that barely went over sounders goalie Stefan Frei to make it 2-0.

After halftime, Seattle came out on fire and took over the game scoring three goals in a matter of 20 minutes with goals from Rowe, Ruidiaz & Jordan Morris. It looked like they were going to win but in the 90th minute there was a handball call and the Galaxy were rewarded a penalty kick with Dejan Joveljic tying it up. He had subbed for Chicharito scored to make it 3-3 and that’s where the game ended. Newcomer Riqui Puig made his season debut coming over from Barcelona and looked good in midfield.

It  was a very exciting game it’s a lot of action in back-and-forth emotions. LA remains four points of head of Seattle with four games to go in the season.  The Home team kept their margin to stay in 7th place nn the playoff race with a top 7 Teams making the playoffs with the top team getting a first round bye.  Some big games upcoming and more at www.lagalaxy.com
