The clown Mauro envisions that his own burial will take place amid a carnival atmosphere and be attended by tender angels. The show contrasts the grand with the intimate, the silly with the tragic, and the beauty of perfection with the appeal of imperfection. It also emphasizes the strength and vulnerability of the clown as well as his knowledge and generosity to represent the aspect of humanity that exists in each of us. Corteo is guided through a timeless ceremony in which fantasy teases reality with music, which is both poetic and mischievous.
Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.

Cirque du Soleil announces digital lottery
for tickets to see Corteo in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California, April 3rd,2023 – Cirque du Soleil is happy to partner with Lucky Seat and host a digital ticket lottery offering fans the chance to purchase a limited number of $36 tickets available to see Corteo at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
To enter a drawing, please visit www.LuckySeat.com. Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo digital lottery drawing happens every week on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. and will continue throughout the day for performances that week Wednesday through Sunday. Participants can register until 10:30 a.m. local time on the day of the drawing. Fans who have been selected will be notified via email or SMS and can then purchase up to two (2) tickets at $36 each (including all taxes and fees). Winners will have a limited window to purchase and claim their tickets. The ticket lottery will continue on every Monday of the 6-week engagement at Microsoft Theater. Three more drawings remain before the end of the run: April 10, April 17 and April 24.
