Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach August 2023- Post Coverage, Photos

There was a field of 216 Cars in this year’s show divided into 27 Classes. This year, in A 1953 Ferrari 212 Intethat sense a 1937 MBZ Special Roadster was named the best in show.’ The cars were judged by 56 judges. A 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Coupe,1 1963 Porsche 901 Prototype Quickblau Karmann coupe finished first in their respective classes.
There was the oldest model that received a class accolade was a 1908 Beno 105 HP Prinz Heinrich Two Seat Race Car, The most contemporary was a 1995 McLaren F1 Coupe. The car that earned the most bragging rights was the 1937 MBZ once belonged to the Shah of Afghanistan. Jim Patterson took the top prize 3 times at Pebble. Another noteworthy was Robert Ross who brought his immaculately restored 1966 Lamborghini 400 GT.His car however ended in disappointment being passed over.
Ferrari had a strong presence which fell into the categories that being Ferrari Grand Touring and Ferrari competition . A 1953 Ferrari 212 Inter Vignale Coupe earned first while a 1957 Ferrari 500 TRC Scaglietta Barchetta beat the rest. Quail which along with hosting traditional Concours gives automakers a stage to woo potential customers with their latest high-performance cars, unlike Pebble which one relegates space for roughly a dozen concept cars in a space. One of those was a Lotus Type 66, the all-electric Lamborghini Lanzador concept, and the Porsche GT4e-performance .Other brands like  Aston , Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, and like flank the fairway.
Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance raised a total $37 million to support local charities, and this year 2.68 million.
