Amazing Lodging & Dining at the Plumpjack Cafe in Palisades, North Lake Tahoe- March 2024
The Plumpjack Inn is located right across from the tram and a perfect location to stay for your ski vacation. The staff were welcoming at the front and the room was very spacious. The bed was super comfortable and they have a big screen TV and beautiful bathroom. You will not find a more convenient and greater spot. My only suggestion if you don’t have a car is to find a trusted ride like the North Lake Tahoe express or the staff can give you some names of drivers (but do NOT book with Richard as he was unreliable and canceled the day of on my ride from the airport and then ghosted me on the ride back to the airport.

The PlumpJack Café is not to miss on your next visit to Palisades. This intimate and exquisite dining experience will have you fully satisfied and has been around for a long time. Start with a cup of butternut squash soup and winter market salad. They have an array of appetizers including raw ahi served on a wonton crisp.
For entrées, the seared scallops with forbidden rice was decadent and my favorite. Other great choices were the king salmon served with wild mushrooms and barley, along with the fantastic burger cooked to your liking.
