Visiting Miami- Dining at 7 Spices, NBA & NHL, Hot Yoga, Beach and more- April 2024

7 Spices Mediterranean cuisine restaurant located in Hallandale was quite the treat. The manager Ramey and her staff were very professional and kept checking on the table. They started with the Mediterranean sampler, which was a platter of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouli, bread, and falafel ‘s with some garnish. Very tasty when you mix them together and then they went for the Halloumi Salad which was grilled Halloumi cheese on top of mixed greens and tomatoes.

For the entrée do not miss the lamb chops with the seven spice rice, which was divine. Overall fantastic meal and enhance your experience with one of their Smoothies. I went for the blue Spirulina, healthy choice   https://www.7spices.us/

If you’re looking for some hot yoga, and you’re near the area of Hialeah, check out body 4 yoga https://www.body4yoga.com/  as I stayed in that area at the start of my trip and then moved to Hallandale where I found another great studio named Sun Yoga 7, not far from the beach located in the big shopping mall. The floor was matted, and the class was very good. sunyoga7.com

Another fun idea is checking out the Florida Panthers hockey team and nice stadium.  The Florida Panthers play their home games at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Sunrise is a town just west of Ft. Lauderdale and just north of Miami.    https://www.nhl.com/panthers/

If you’re in Miami during the NBA season, definitely check out an NBA game as the Miami Heat are very popular. Despite playing without quite a few of the regulars, including star Jimmy Butler, he took on the Golden State Warriors and Heather on until late in the game when the Warriors pulled their way to blow out the home team. There were a lot of Steph Curry fans, and he played OK for him, but this is a big all-around effort and the team win as Klay Thompson lead the team with 27 points. He led a balanced attack as teammates Kuminga, Wiggins & Draymond Green, or a key part. The heat was led by Bam Adebayu, who had 24 points and 12 rebounds. The playoffs are approaching and one of the biggest hurdles for all teams especially the heat is to be healthy. Besides missing Butler, they played without Tyler, Herro, Duncan, Robinson, Josh Richardson, and Kevin Love.   more at  nba.com/heat
