FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Santa Monica, California – [09.04.24] – Presented by Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair returns to
Los Angeles in celebration of its 100th global fair edition, bringing together over 140 emerging
and independent artists, plus interactive installations and unforgettable experiences for art
enthusiasts and collectors alike. Taking place from September 26th to 29th at the iconic Barker
Hangar in Santa Monica, this edition will be the start of The Other Art Fair’s celebrations for their
milestone achievement of presenting 100 Global Editions.
Global Fair Director Nicole Garton said about this momentous occasion: “We are so excited
about reaching the milestone of 100 Editions of The Other Art Fair. This September marks 12
editions in Los Angeles, and we’re looking forward to the decade ahead continuing to provide a
platform for emerging artists across Southern California and host our international artists as
they sell into this market. We’ve launched some unforgettable collaborations over the years, and
seen fantastic outcomes for our exhibitors, many of whom have gained gallery representation,
been invited for creative opportunities, such as creating album covers for award-winning bands,
and had their works acquired bynotable collectors. The Other Art Fair has been frequented by
seasoned collectors, art world heavyweights, and Hollywood luminaries as the place to buy
artwork directly from artists themselves.”

Celebrating 100 Global Editions with 100 Artworks for $100

In celebration of The Other Art Fair’s 100th edition, the Los Angeles fair will be the first to
celebrate this milestone by featuring a shoppable exhibition, featuring works by exhibiting artists
priced for $100 and under. All proceeds will benefit HÜMNKIND COLLECTIVE, an organization
committed to overcoming the loneliness epidemic in Los Angeles by fostering authentic human
connection through social clubs and events that bring people back to a shared humanity — like
nature, the arts, and mindfulness. As an inspiring, inclusive, and fun event that reframes how art
can be perceived and creates lasting connections between artists and art lovers, The Other Art
Fair is proud to help continue this mission beyond the scope of the Fair.
Capture the Likeness of Your Fur Family

At the upcoming edition of The Other Art Fair, acclaimed artist Ben Lenovitz will be offering
exclusive pet portraits. Visitors are invited to commission custom portraits of their beloved pets,
created live by Lenovitz, known for his whimsical and vibrant pet illustrations. Simply email a
photo of your pet to Ben, and watch your furry friend’s personality come to life on canvas.

Get Your Napkin Portrait at The Killa Lounge

Take a seat at the bar to join the ranks of celebrities like Steph Curry, Pharrell Williams, Dwayne
Wade, and Kendall Jenner by getting your very own napkin portrait from the multi-media artist
Napkin Killa created. Known for his quick wit, bold lines, and unconventional canvas, Napkin Killa
transforms ordinary napkins into extraordinary works of art, capturing the essence of his sitters
with humor and flair. Grab a drink and a portrait at our Friday Late party where Napkin Killa will be
offering portraits for free; otherwise throughout the Fair, attendees will be able to buy 1 for $40
and 2 for $60.
In 2014, the Nap turned his regular habit of drawing on napkins in Brooklyn dive bars into an
Instagram account. When New York Magazine contracted the visual hitman to document Fashion
Week shows and parties in his signature style, napkin portraits became a hot commodity.

Discover Unique Balcones Whisky Cocktails at The Other Art Fair
The Other Art Fair is partnering with the award-winning Balcones Distilling to celebrate the
artistry of whisky-making and the connection between craftsmanship and creative possibility.
Attendees at The Other Art Fair will have the opportunity to engage with members of the
Balcones distillery team, enjoy their whisky cocktail creations, and try various Balcones
expressions at their sample station. Hand-crafted Balcones cocktails will be available, offering a
taste of original Texas whisky through three featured cocktail recipes: The Imposterita with Baby
Blue, Texas Ti Punch with Lineage, and The Old 1 Fashioned with Texas 1.
Intertwined Shine: Weaving Unity and Light

Bringing people together, the artist Kacie Lyn Martinez’s interactive installation, Intertwined Shine
centers around the theme of “collective light”, symbolizing the unique yet interconnected shine
that each of us brings to the whole. Through the simple yet profound act of weaving on five
communal looms, participants will co-create a living artwork that embodies the collective spirit,
our individual glow, and the resilience our communities need to move forward together. This
participatory work, themed around “collective light,” encourages participants to reflect on their

unique contributions and weave their hopes for the future into a living artwork that symbolizes
the collective resilience and interconnected spirit of the community.
The looms, illuminated with LED lights, will glow as participants weave, representing how our
collective efforts can light up the world around us. By engaging in the tactile process of weaving,
participants will experience a meditative and communal practice that encourages mindfulness
and fosters a sense of belonging. Participants are also asked to reflect on their unique glow and
the hopes they would like to spark for the future, and weave these reflections in, creating a
collective shining consciousness
