LA Clippers beat Detroit with Griffin sitting out- January 2020

On what was supposed to be back to LA game for Blake Griffin turned into a runaway in the second half for the home Clippers. The final score was closer than indicated. The Pistons kept right there in the first half with LA at pretty much full strength except for Patrick Beverly, who sat out with a sprained wrist injury. Paul George injured his hamstring late in the second half and did not return. The final was 126-112

Super subs Lou Williams and Montrez Harrell carried the team and both ended with over 20 points in the same game fir the 6th time this year. Leonard finished with 18 to lead a balanced attack. Harkless, Green and George all had 12 points.
Detroit also had a balanced attack but not as much with Bruce Brown leading the way with 15 points.   Andre Drummond ( their all star center who had been involved with rumor trades) had 10 points and 12 rebounds but was not a huge factor. Derrick Rose had 14 but was quiet in the second half.
Coach Doc Rivers was happy with his team’s play after halftime and the way they locked down the defense.
