A great place to stay on your next visit to Santa Barbara is the Marina Beach Motel located about two blocks from the beach. The staff is very friendly and they have some nice amenities including their nice continental breakfast that’s included as well as the bikes with helmets & bike locks. There’s a nice little courtyard in the middle of the inn and it’s a very comfortable setting & atmosphere. I stayed in room 29 which had a king bed and had a nice big tub to take a nice bath. Very comfortable and loved it.
Overall I highly recommend the Marina Beach Motel on your next day for the convenience, location and hospitable employees. Located about two blocks away is Chad’s Cafe– wow what a great place for breakfast. This popular hotspot is located right across street from the beach and be ready for long lines on the weekend so get there early. The staff and service were fantastic and the manager Sean was super welcoming and helpful. I had the garden omelette which was fantastic along with her home potatoes and pancakes. The mini hot muffins are incredible.
They have a wide assortment of breakfast and lunch options as they’re only open during the day till 2 PM. This place is a must on your next visit to the area. More at www.chadscafé.com
My top restaurant suggestion is Olio E Limone on Victoria Street. I’m a repeat customer and there is a reason why. They Never disappoint. My server John was very friendly and super attentive and I started with the very unique eggplant soufflé with tomato sauce. I’ve never had anything like this. The dish was whipped up eggplant with breadcrumbs and egg to keep it together and spectacular that I highly suggest. The striped bass was meaty and delicious served with spinach, artichokes, asparagus and tomatoes in a nice light sauce. The fettuccine alla cream di scampi was super tasty as was the Spinach tortellini stuffed with ricotta cheese in a tomato sauce and sage
There’s indoor and outdoor seating with nice music playing in the background. This Italian establishment has a pizzeria around the block that we will have to visit next time. They have a wide variety of dishes from antipasti, salads, Panini‘s, creative pastas, entrée dishes of fish , duck, veal, chicken and more. You Cannot go wrong and are in for a treat.
