The five-time Tony Award nominated smash-hit musical ROCK OF AGES will mark its triumphant return to Los Angeles playing the Pantages Theatre for a strictly-limited 2 week engagement, February 15 – 27, 2011. American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis will reprise his acclaimed performance as Drew, the role that garnered him a Tony Award® nomination as Best Actor in a Musical.

It‟s 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small-town girl met a big-city dreamer – and in L.A.‟s most legendary rock club, they fall in love to the greatest songs of the „80‟s. It‟s ROCK OF AGES, a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.

Lead producers Matthew Weaver and Carl Levin expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming Hollywood engagement: "Opening at the Pantages, L.A.‟s premiere venue for touring Broadway musicals, is pretty heavy stuff for everyone involved with ROCK OF AGES. This little-show-that-could has travelled about thousands of miles to make the five-block journey from King King to The Pantages!"

King King is the Hollywood Boulevard nightclub where ROCK OF AGES had the world premiere of its earliest incarnation in July of 2005. After playing four shows over two days at King King, the show played one show in August 2005 at the Warner Brothers soundstage in Los Angeles. In January 2006, the show premiered at The Vanguard nightclub in Hollywood where it played for six weeks. ROCK OF AGES New York story began off-Broadway engagement in the fall of 2008, and success lead to the Great White Way. ROCK OF AGES opened April 7, 2009 on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The show received widespread critical acclaim and became the sleeper hit of the season, capturing five 2009 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical. New Line Records released the Original Broadway Cast Recording in July 2009, featuring 28 songs from the show.

The Hollywood rags-to-riches story of ROCK OF AGES appears to have some staying power. A New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. film of the musical, directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray), is scheduled to be released in 2011.

A classically trained actor and performer, Constantine Maroulis graduated from The Boston Conservatory and apprenticed at The Williamstown Theatre Festival. Prior to finding fame on American Idol as a popular Season Four finalist, Maroulis portrayed the lead role of Roger in the national tour of Rent (L.A.‟s Wilshire Theatre, December 2003). He made his Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated The Wedding Singer and co-starred in the critically-acclaimed off-Broadway production of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

Still, Maroulis is best known to millions from his participation on Fox TV‟s American Idol, as well as headlining the subsequent Idols Live Summer Tour with that year’s winner, Carrie Underwood. Television audiences have also seen him on CBS‟ The Bold and the Beautiful in a role specially created for him and based, in part, on his life. The show featured new songs from his debut album "Constantine" which he was released to critical acclaim in 2008 on his very own Record Label, "Sixth Place Records" via (SONY/Red).

Joining Mr. Maroulis on stage will be MiG Ayesa as Stacee Jaxx, Nick Cordero as Dennis, Rebecca Faulkenberry as Sherrie, Patrick Lewallen as Lonny, Teresa Stanley as Justice, Casey Tuma as Regina, Bret Tuomi as Hertz and Travis Walker as Franz.

Rounding out the cast are Angela Brydon, Joey Calveri, Daniel Luis Domenech, Lindsay Janisse, Sean Jenness, Holly Laurent, Lauralynn McClelland, Rashad Naylor, Josh Sassanella and Erika Shannon.

ROCK OF AGES is directed by Tony Award Nominee Kristin Hanggi (Bare, Pussycat Dolls on the Sunset Strip) and choreographed by Kelly Devine (Jersey Boys – Associate Choreographer). The book is by Chris D’Arienzo (writer and director of the film Barry Munday), the original arrangements are by David Gibbs (Counting Crows, Film: That Thing You Do) and the Music Supervision, Arrangements & Orchestrations are by Ethan Popp (Tarzan; Europe: We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia).
