TO BARKER HANGAR IN APRIL 2011

The 16th Annual Los Angeles Antiques Show will return on April 13-17, 2011 to the Barker

Hangar at Santa Monica Air Center. The prestigious and highly-anticipated event is presented

by the Antique Dealers Association of California (ADAC), and produced by Dolphin Promotions.

The antiques show co-chairs for 2011 are Los Angeles gallery owners and show exhibitors

Laurent Rebuffel of Habite, Robert Willson of Downtown, and Patrick Dragonette of Dragonette,

Ltd.

52 exhibitors from across the U.S. and Europe will be featured in room-setting vignettes

representing all design movements from ancient to modern including 17th, 18th and 19th century

American, English and Continental furniture and decorative arts, 20th century modernism, Native

American Indian and tribal arts, Asian, and African arts.

Among the many distinguished exhibitors are Daniel Stein Antiques showing English and

Continental furniture; Habite of Los Angeles featuring French and Continental furniture;

Downtown, Dragonette, Ltd., Reform Gallery of Los Angeles and Todd Merrill and Associates of

New York featuring 20th century design; Mansour of West Hollywood offering antique carpets

and tapestries; American Garage of Los Angeles presenting folk art; Le Trianon of San

Francisco featuring 19th and 20th century paintings; Craig Evan Small of Los Angeles and

Camilla Deitz Bergeron Ltd. of New York featuring antique and estate jewelry; Joel Cooner

Gallery of Dallas featuring tribal and African arts; Galen Lowe Art & Antiques of Seattle,

Orientations Gallery of New York presenting Asian antiques and artifacts; Eve Stone Antiques of

Woodbridge, CT offering antique copper and brass; Imperial Fine Books and Hayden &

Fandetta Rare Books, both of New York, specializing in rare and first edition books; Arader

Galleries of San Francisco presenting prints; The Silver Fund of London featuring Georg Jensen

and sterling; Rick Scott of San Francisco featuring objet de curiosite; and Inner Gardens of Los

Angeles featuring garden ornamentation.

Interior designer Mary McDonald will create an extraordinary entrance tent paired with fashions

from vintage couture expect Cameron Silver. Last year’s entrance tent was designed by

interior designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard. The second annual DESIGN LA event will be held

at the antiques show on Friday evening, April 15. A 1stdibs cocktail party hosted by Michael

Bruno will be held for design industry professionals at 6:30 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by a

roundtable discussion A Time for Change in the Design Industry? with a panel of interior

designers discussing their role in guiding the future of the industry. The conversation will be led

by Michael Bruno, founder and president of 1stdibs and he will be joined by Kathryn Ireland,

Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, Mary McDonald, Campion Platt, and Windsor Smith.

The Antiques Show opens with an opening night party benefiting P.S. ARTS held from 7 to 10

p.m. Wednesday, April 13. Cocktail party tickets are $150 per person and available in advance

at www.losangelesantiqueshow.com An exclusive Collectors party will be held in advance of

the preview party from 6 to 7 p.m. Ultimat vodka is sponsor of the opening night party.

The Antique Dealers Association of California, founded in 1924, is a group of knowledgeable

dealers pledged to integrity and fair dealing in the buying and selling of antiques. Members are

MORE:            Doyenne Mary McDonald and Cameron Silver are partnering up to create a vintage inspired entrance tent. Vintage pieces from the Decades store will be on display in a mannequin installation, showcasing the connection between fashion and art through the decades.
