Ennio’s One Man Extraordinary Comedy Show at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood – August 1st, 2003

Ennio delights audiences all over with his mastery of costume changes/impersonations, and comedy.

In a world of all types of theater, comedy, and impersonations, Ennio Marchetto of his Italian Background, thrills and surprises crowds with his costume uniqueness and comedy genius. His run at the adorable Geffen Playhouse (10886 Le Conte Ave. in Westwood, Ca.) was extended due to popular demand. His non-intermission show features piped in music while Ennio impersonates and lip syncs to each song and routine. The twist is with every impersonation, there is an ingenious paper costume that he puts on and even changes during the set sometimes.

Ennio started in the late 1980’s making paper costumes after many studies at Art School. In 1990, he launched his own living cartoon show at the Edinburgh Festival. The show was a huge success, which started his claim to fame all over the world. He has created over 100 characters and his ongoing show changes depending where he performs and the time of the year.

Ennio’s main assistant with his Co-Director and Designer named Sosthen Hennekam from the Netherlands. Hennekam’s fashion background helped Ennio create and develop many of the costumes and characters. The most incredible thing about the show is how each character changes costumes and morphs into another on stage during the routine.

This show was such a unique experience and treat for all ages. Adults can appreciate what work and creativeness is put into the show along with all the impersonations of celebrities and singers.
